The Approach
It's Her is shot under Dogma25 rules, in the spirit of Cine-vive. No excessive tech, no industrialised production, no algorithm-driven filmmaking. Raw, human, instinctive cinema — minimal crew, real locations, non-professional actors, fast and cheap. The whole point is risk, authenticity, personal storytelling. Tech's there to empower the filmmakers, not replace them.
The financing works the same way.
It's a micro-budget feature, and we built the deal so the people who actually made it get the upside — not just the people who financed it. Producer's cut is small. On purpose. Backers get paid first, then a real chunk goes to cast and crew.
Everyone's cut is in writing. There's a waterfall — a set order for who gets paid, when, and what's left after. No handshake deals, no "trust us" accounting. Contracts, and a published order of payment. That's it.
The unusual part is what happens after signing. Everyone gets their own login, secured with crypto keys only they hold, and sees exactly what we see: the cap table, where the film sits in recoupment, where we are in the sales process, the actual bank transactions in the production account. Not a PDF every quarter. The real numbers, any time they want to check.
We're documenting the whole shoot too — building a working model for filmmakers who want to work raw, autonomous, and transparent. Protecting artistic integrity. Real transparency on how films get financed, made, and shared. Giving artists actual control over rights, participation, and the long-term value of what they make.
